The candidates of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas 2012 beauty pageant recently made a courtesy call at the premises of Picture City – Gateway Mall just before the Holy Week and Easter holidays.
Only 30 out of a hundred or so applicants made it to the pageant proper itself, which will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Smart Araneta Coliseum at the Araneta Center, Quezon City. This contest will also be televised by the ABS-CBN network.
At a ceremony held recently at Picture City’s Gateway Mall branch, Binibining Pilipinas 2011 candidate and Face of Binibining Pilipinas winner Angelia Ong received her prize from company general manager Paul Santos.
The 20-year-old Ms. Ong, a first-time pageant candidate from Iloilo City, Iloilo and a Mass Communications student from Saint Paul University – Iloilo, expressed delight at receiving a PHP 25,000.00 cash award, as well as Samsung ST500 2View digital camera, from Picture City. An intimate luncheon reception was held in her honor afterwards.
Congratulations are in order to the winners of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant. It was recently held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The panel of judges selected Shamcey Supsup as Binibining Pilipinas – Universe, Dianne Necio as Binibining Pilipinas – International, and Isabella Manjon as Binibining Pilipinas – Tourism. Janine Tugonon was named First Runner Up while Mary Jean Lastimosa was chosen as Second Runner Up.
